14th Annual Pork & Brew
The 14th Annual Pork & Brew, New Mexico’s ORIGINAL Food Festival, will return to the Santa Ana Star Center, July 1-3. Experience the many varieties of BBQ and the “low and slow” cooking process that separates real BBQ from backyard grilling. Pork & Brew brings together the best food vendors from around the region, this three-day festival featuring BBQ, local craft beer, live music and interactive family activities will be one of the biggest events of the summer. Galloping Grace Youth Ranch will be returning to the event, showcasing a petting zoo and pig races throughout the weekend. Pork & Brew, hosted by the Rio Rancho Convention and Visitors Bureau, will feature an indoor/outdoor format, ensuring the 15,000 expected attendees can enjoy all the festival has to offer rain or shine. This is quite possibly the best way to spend your 4th of July weekend this summer in New Mexico. 16th Annual Kite Festival
Join the fun - skies will be filled with colorful kites of all shapes and sizes throughout the weekend. Bring your own kite, buy one at the Festival, or watch professional stunt kite fliers maneuver their kites expertly in the wind. Visitors can fly their kites on large grass fields and participate in kite flying contests. Weather permitting, there will also be a fly-by of experimental aircraft, and a spectacular free-flight raptor show presented by world-renowned falconer Tom Smylie at 2 p.m. each day. Visitors can go into the wildlife zoo and experience up close native wildlife and raptors, including black bear, cougars, elk, pronghorn, Crested Caracaras and more. It's fun for the entire family.

2017 Santa Fe Century
On Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21, 2017 the 32nd annual Santa Fe Century will take place in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The event includes a Vintage Bike Pageant and Celebration on Saturday, May 20th as well as on-site registration and rider packet pick-up and the opening of the Celebration Corral/Beer Garden. On Sunday, May 21st, riders can participate in Century, Half-Century or 20-mile rides as well as two timed events: the Gran Fondo (100-mile race) and Medio Fondo (50-mile race). The Century route follows the ancient Turquoise Trail through the historic mining towns of Madrid and Golden, over the mineral rich Ortiz and San Pedro Mountains, across the rolling Estancia Valley, past the traditional villages of Cedar Grove, Stanley and Galisteo, and returns to scenic Santa Fe. The rides and races will be followed by massages and an awards ceremony at the Celebration Corral featuring live music, craft beers and Cowgirl BBQ. Age-category winners of the Gran and Medio Fondos will receive medals and the overall winners will receive cash awards. Save money and register early at www.santafecentury.com.

66 Mile Radius: Opening Reception and Artist Talk
Tamarind institute is undertaking a series of collaborations with three New Mexico artists, who all live and work within a 66-mile radius of the workshop, with the purpose of bringing individuals who are relatively new to collaborative printmaking to work with Tamarind’s highly skilled printers. Each of the three artists involved in the project represents a unique response to New Mexico history, landscape, and culture. Artists include Judy Tuwaletstiwa, Nina Elder, and Diego Romero. The 6-month project in the workshop will result in an exhibition in the Tamarind Gallery, and three individual video profiles on each artist created by documentary filmmaker Melinda Frame. Video screenings to be announced summer 2017. Tamarind invites the public to the opening reception of 66 Mile Radius on Saturday, June 17. Artist Talk with Judy Tuwaletstiwa from 5-6 pm. Reception continues from 6-7:30 pm. The exhibition runs through September 8, 2017.
